Weight Loss: What I have learned

On average, most women are not happy with their appearance, and most women would change something about their physical appearance if given a viable opportunity. The reality is that so many women are extremely self-conscious about their body and they long for a physique that is more ‘socially’ acceptable. We complain forever and do nothing because we tend to allow procrastination to take precedence over action. By the time we finally decide to invoke change, so much time has passed. Well, if you’re anything like me, then you are searching for that quick fix, or shall I say “instant gratification.” I think more of us than not have tried different options hoping to achieve our goal of having a better body ‘overnight.’ I have tried a variety of concepts to no avail. Most of them work – temporarily. We’re looking good and getting compliments on how we’re looking slimmer but it doesn’t last.

Here’s an epiphany, you can not do the same thing day after day and expect different results! I know, I know, it’s shocking! What most of us are not aware of is that losing weight is an event - a life-changing event. You cannot continue to eat as you did before losing the weight and not expect the weight to return. But believe me I was surprised when I finally figured it out. Did a brick just fall on my head? It felt like a ton of bricks hit me finding out that I was in poor health, basically, because I couldn’t control my hunger. Here I am thinking I’m cute and not realizing that, by health standards, I was considered obese. I have hit rock bottom, (in my mind anyway), and I have a choice to make. I choose life. This, in part, means dispelling of bad eating habits that I have developed throughout my lifetime, coupled with exercise if I want to live a life of longevity. I am willing to start over beginning with a low-calorie diet. (It’s a low calorie diet to me because I’m use to eating big girl portions!!!)

Tried and true concepts: I sold Herbal Life for a while and, at that time, you had to house the products. I invested a substantial amount of funds, so I had to either sell the products or use them. They were great products that yielded visible results within a month. My energy level was up, and I went down two sizes. It worked, and it took some time before the weight returned.

Next, I went to a weight loss doctor to get a B-12 shot, in addition to taking appetite suppressors and following a strict diet. After I got that shot, I was a walking zoombie. I felt as if I could do everything - but get to sleep. Needless to say, I didn’t like feeling like a busy body – all night long! The real issue I had was the fact that the doctor was also overweight. If you are noticeably overweight, I am not convinced that you are the one to promote weight loss to me. That didn’t last long!

I tried Dr. Miller’s Holy Tea. That’s some good stuff! It’s a colon cleanser that also promotes weight loss and detoxifies the body. This tea not only cleans you out, but it clears up your skin too. I would recommend this to anyone who has never taken a colon cleanser before. That also worked, but I wasn't consistent.

Currently, I have great things to say about Nussentials. Their product, LESS! is excellent, and you only have to replace one meal per day. (However, it is still important to control your portions.) LESS! is a powder formula that consists of protein and stabilized rice bran. There are so many benefits that you get from using a stabilized rice bran supplement, because it helps to preserve lean muscle, build your immune system, and reduce hunger. Of course, you should incorporate some kind of exercise in your weight loss plan as well. The best part is that you only take this product once a day and it’s less stressful. I found that with all the other concepts I had to remember to take the products two or more times per day, as if life wasn’t hectic enough. Unfortunately, I would often forget to take the products.

I realize that everything is not for everybody. Some of these products may or may not work for you, but you must be persistent and consistent to see results. So, today I share this wisdom with you as I strive to better my health naturally through diet and exercise.
